I took this photo on the 31st March 2025, the weather was unexpectedly beautiful and this was one of the first days that gave me hope that Spring was truly and honestly NEARLY upon us!  I have been to Angle many times since I have lived in Pembrokeshire but am ashamed to say that somehow I missed the coastal circular walk until this day.  The path starts to the right hand side of the beach and takes you around the Headlands with lovely views back over the beach, adjoining bays and Thorn Island...then following the walk takes you to the Chapel Bay Fort which although closed, was very interesting.

The sun was setting as I followed the headland path and there were many times I wondered if I had commited to a longer walk than anticipated and hoped we didn't loose light too quickly, the later, brighter nights weren't quite with us yet!  This was a shot of the sun setting over the bay that I took from behind the freshly blossming hedgerow and it makes me smile every time I look at it, remebering the day I discovered such a beautiful walk that had been hiding from me (in plain sight!) for too many years!

Interestingly the thumnail picture for this post was selected by the Western Telegraph and publised on their page on 10th April 2025.
