This is a picture that I just adore!  It is of Bosherston Lily Ponds in Pembrokeshire and I took it on the 17th May 2026.  I had taken Cookie for her usual stroll around Pembroke Town Centre (where she gets to say hello to all her favourite people and often meets new friends) and decided we needed to take advantage of the beautiful weather, not to mention the wonderful county we lie in and stretch our legs properly. Once i finished my coffee at the Waterloo House Board Game & Coffee Shop I bundled the dog into the car...

I set off not knowing where I was going and drove on the road from Pembroke to Stackpole just knowing that inspiration would hit me along the way, there are so many amazing places in that direction that I knew I would be happy wherever we ended up! I parked by the church and set off on the circular walk that starts from the main car park around the corner (I will always pick a free parking space if one is available!)  As we walked from the woodland path, over the bridges across the ponds and around to Broad Haven South beach I remember thinking that I can't think of any other circular walk that has quite the same amount of diversity and beauty as this one.
